The ObjectiveThe U.S. Army was faced with providing military personnel without computers access to government and library databases. Public Information Kiosk, Inc. (PIK) needed a self-service kiosk solution to provide a secure, user-friendly environment that could be managed at a central location for army bases around the world. The Solution
The initial deployment included seven kiosks at U.S. bases in Afghanistan and Kuwait. Livewire was able to provide Public Information Kiosk, Inc. with a total solution (known as the e-Branch Library) comprised of the application, as well as the
network services to manage and monitor the kiosk in a real-time environment.
